Taekwondo is a centuries-old Korean martial art in which foot techniques are in the foreground. In the meantime, this Budo discipline has gained many followers worldwide both as a martial arts and as a form of self-defense. TAE means “foot,” hit with the foot, kick Precise and fast foot techniques are the basis of defense and attack in all disciplines of Taekwondo.

Kwon means "fist", "to hit with the fist". Powerful and determined hand techniques are used in Taekwondo for both defense and attack.

DO means “the way”. The journey alone is the goal. The consequences of the color and black belts expresses that everyone has to work consistently on improving their skills in order to move forward on their way.
